Nancy Ann Storybook dolls are particularly popular with collectors. However, since these dolls were generally collected by little girls in the 20th century, many of them were kept in mint condition, and many were kept with their original boxes. Therefore, these dolls quickly lose value if they have been played with. The hard plastic dolls are generally less valuable than the earlier all-bisque dolls. The hard plastic dolls have sleep eyes and jointing at the hips, elbows and knees. Nancy Ann Storybook dolls were made in the San Francisco area of the United States.
