If you are a doll collector who has never been to a doll convention, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Conventions are a doll show, doll museum, doll social event, and doll university, and doll party all rolled into one.

The 56th annual UFDC (United Federation of Doll Clubs) National Doll Convention , Reflections on Fashion, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania last week was no exception. For one full week, 2,000 doll collectors from all over the United States and the world met to take part in an outstanding convention that celebrated dolls of all types--antique, vintage and modern. Held at the Philadelphia Marriott in downtown Philadelphia, many historic sites (such as Independence Square, pictured) were a short walk or bus ride away.

This Convention Tour will give you a feel for what it is like to attend a large doll convention such as this one, with photos and commentary.
