(Guide note:  There are many photos here; please wait for download!)

painted eyes and features  (done using the DDP technique; see below) on Mr. Booker's dolls, and note the lavish costuming and use of silk metallics on Ms. Thor's dolls.  All the dolls are incredible examples of dollmaking today--Mr. Booker's dolls are outstanding examples of modern dollmaking (Mr. Booker has sculpted all these dolls) and Ms. Thor's dolls are  outstanding examples of reproduction antique dollmaking.

Ron Booker is from Toronto, Canada.  He is noted for his sculpting, costuming and china painting techniques.  In a previous career, he designed and executed wardrobes for theaters in Toronto and for Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.  He formulated the DDP (Dimensional Doll Painting) technique for painting modern dolls.    Ron has an honorary Doctor of Dollmaking from the DAG.

Kristin Thor is from Warrenton, Virginia.  She is a DAG Instructor and well-known DAG educator.  She is noted for her unique doll costuming and lovely antique reproduction dolls.  Both Ron and Kristin have been frequent contributors to various dollmaking magazines.
