CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: Doll has closed mouth. Fabulous Forties™ Barbie® doll is the fourth in the Great Fashions of the 20th Century series of dolls highlighting women and the fashions they wore through the decades. Doll wears burgundy skirt and matching jacket, and comes with a black faux fur stole. Her had has a black feather and crimson rose on her 40s-styled hair. Jewelry includes a sparkling rhinestone dragonfly pin, bracelet and earrings.
PRICE: At eBay and other online auctions, $40 to $50.
COMMENTS: Doll is the fourth in the Series, which highlights the fashions that women wore in each decade of the 20th century. This doll is a "Collector Edition," which means it can be produced in an edition of over 35,000 dolls.
MARKET VALUE: This doll has held a nearly identical value from 2000 to 2003. It is a popular modern Barbie doll due to the wonderful accurate 1940s costuming of Fabulous Forties Barbie.
