Inspiration: My dear departed sister, who was handicap and passed away on
4/6/96

Yahinnah represents the power and the beauty of a handicap woman.

Her face has been carefully halved with porcelain and papier mache.  Super exposed glitter over the right side of her face with a black velvet mask adds to the meaning of what a woman in pain can hide behind her beautiful face. She has brown eyes, and her black spiked hair filled with faux feathers balance her personality as that of one with humble roots and yet strong enough to live in our modern era and survive.
The chain from her nostril to her hair is held by a real diamond, which signifies attachment to her material life. The complexity of womanhood!  She stands 38" tall, porcelain legs, arms and full breast plate.  Her gown was designed by me and created as to what seem at the time endless hours!  She is limited to one of one, and she will never be duplicated. She has a triple underlay of fabric under the sequin black lace of her skirt. The first one holds the tulle with a wire at the bottom to give the dress the perfect drop.  The second is moire satin and then the chiffon underlay yahinnah2.jpg (59293 bytes)to give her the sweetness she dares not show! - Her top is of moire satin with tiny laces at the finishes which barely
touches the edge of her beautiful bosom.  Her cape matches the front pinafore of the gown which is an exquisite multicolor sequin velvet.  There are two adjustable bows at the sides of her hips which match the simple and sexy top. The collar is up in four layers of black trim, which is held up with tulle  and heavy reinforcements.   All done by hand.

The mold and design of this doll is mine, "All Rights Reserved" - But the sculptor behind this wonderful doll is the renown artist Alfred McNeill.

I have designed many dolls in the past, but never have taken them as seriously as I am taking them now.  I am presently working on a continuation of these type of dolls on limited editions, and would like someday to be known as a one
limited per doll only.  I enjoy the thrill of designing them and then admiring them as what they are....Unique.  I am definitely now more mature to be able to recognize what kind of dolls I wish to bring into the doll world and am in the road to achieve greater and better dolls with special meanings.

Thank you for this opportunity and hope you enjoy my work.
