CHRISTMAS 2001 KELLYS TO HANG ON YOUR TREE! 2001 FASHION MODEL BARBIES ARE SELLING OUT!:  The Barbie.com web site said the following regarding the 2001 Fashion Model Barbies and their availability:

A REAL "DOLL" JOINS THE NASDAQ:  Starting this week, there is a NASDAQ stock that trades under the symbol DOLL!  The company is the Bando McGlocklin Capital Corporation which has approved an amendment to the company's Articles of Incorporation changing the company's name to The Middleton Doll Company. Effective May 4, 2001, the company's common stock began trading  under the symbol NASDAQ: DOLL!

"We are excited about Lee Middleton's growth potential as its very special baby dolls continue to build momentum among both customers and retailers. We believe the name change reflects our opportunity to increase shareholder value over the long term," said George R. Schonath, president and chief executive officer. 

"In the first quarter of 2001, Lee Middleton presented its largest introduction of new dolls and marketing programs designed to further increase sales and develop new customers. These include launching the Artist Studio(TM) Collection brand name for the company's limited-edition collectible dolls and creating an industry first with the introduction of one-day and one-week limited-edition collectible dolls which uniquely bear the date and time of production," Schonath said. "The March 1 production of the one-day limited edition doll was a sellout in the first week." 

"We have also expanded the very successful `Small Wonder(TM)' play baby doll into a series with the addition of infant `Newborn Wonder(TM)' and toddler `Playtime Wonder(TM).' Introduced at the Toy Fair show in February, the new Wonder Series collection has quickly become a hit with dealers and major retailers alike. THERIAULTS.COM TO BE FEATURED ON THE "INCURABLE COLLECTOR" ON A & E:  Theriault's will be featured on The Incurable Collector, a new series on A&E.  The segment that Theriaults appears in focuses on a vintage Barbie auction held in January.  Air dates for the program are this Sunday, May 13 at 12 noon Eastern time and again on Saturday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time.  And....your Guide may also be appearing in this segment, as I was interviewed at the auction as well.  If you haven't seen the "Incurable Collector" series yet on A & E, its fantastic, and it does a great job of focusing on collectors and their obsessions.
