CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: Vinyl. Talking doll, but over the years most of the mechanisms have broken due to disintegrating rubber bands, so that most dolls no longer talk and are mute.
PRICE: doll alone, up to $250 up to $400 mint. NRFB $400-$500.
COMMENTS: Note that by the end of the 1960s the Barbie family boxes are now square with clear windows, much like the Barbie and family boxes of today.
