NEWS
NEW 16" MADAME ALEXANDER FASHION
DOLL
Madame Alexander is getting ready to unveil a new, 16"
fashion doll at toy fair in February! The company has been running a mysterious ad
with the new doll in silhouette in several of the current doll magazines. The doll
will have separate outfits available and will be along the lines of Gene, Sommers and
Field, and Tyler Wentworth. For more information on these fashion dolls which
are aimed at collectors, see Fashion Femme Fatales.
Also, Sommers and Field have been released; look for my review of these new fashion
dolls in the next week.
3rd TOP MATTEL EXECUTIVE LEAVES
MATTEL
In only 2 months, 3 top executives at Mattel have left
the company. The latest to leave is the Chief Financial Officer Harry Pearce.
Mattel also named Bermard Stolar, a former president of Sega of America to be president of
the interactive division which concentrates on children's software.
FANS VOTE YES FOR BEANIES IN SURPRISE
VOTE
Excuse my sarcasm, but surprise, surprise, beanies ARE
going to continue to be produced thanks to the vote by Beanies fans on the Ty web site.
Skeptics say that this was all a ploy to create more publicity for the toy, and I
would have to agree.
