JAKKS Pacific Releases Juku Couture Dolls

Wednesday September 24, 2008
This month, JAKKS Pacific has released a new line of Juku Couture dolls. The dolls are inspired by "the limitless possibilities and fashionable combinations that mismatching and layering pieces offers girls to express themselves" and it is a style that originated with fashion trensetters in Harajuku, Japan which has been picked up by celebrities particularly in the world of music. There are four dolls being released--the dolls have multiple points of articulation and you can mix and match the fashion pieces to create 10 different looks for the doll with each outfit.

These dolls look adorable. Unfortunately the Jakks site doesn’t have any more information on them. If you find out anything else, Denise, please let us know? Thank you for all you do!

You can go to the site http://www.jukucouture.com to see all the dolls, fashion packs and accessory packs. They also have Where To Buy section that shows all the stores you can buy them at (I noticed this works better in Mozilla then in Internet Explorer).

Their outfits are FANTASTIC and their posability is WONDERFUL! The Juku Couture girls are well worth buying!

These dolls are wonderful. My daughter has been looking for a less expensive alternative to japanese ball jointed dolls for some time and she stumbled across the Juku Couture dolls at Toys R Us. They are beautiful, whimsical, truly detailed dolls that are truly a great value for the price. My daugter already has picked up two of the collection for herself.

Like parents really want their daughters to learn how to dress like garish walking pinata.

I bought two of these dolls today and a fashion pack and accessory pack at Target. I’m a grandmother in my 60’s and think the dolls are adorable, and the clothing delightful. The clothes are what girls are wearing, and actually very tasteful combinations are possible. I bought Audrina and Hayley, and hope to get the other two plus more clothes. And I am NOT a Barbie fan, but a sucker for poseability!!!
