IDEX 2006 Will Kick Off The Doll Year In Style

IDEX 2006 will be in Orlando, Florida January 27th to 29th. IDEX is the show where many doll manufacturers and doll artists premiere their new creations for the year. Many, but not all, of these companies and artists also exhibit at Toy Fair in February.

IDEX is a wonderful show which is almost like a mini doll convention, and doll collectors who have the chance to attend should not miss it. There are over 100 exhibitors, and a separate retail room where collectors will have chances to buy dolls as well. Three days of workshops and meal events are also part of the festivities--some popular ones, such as the brunch with Marie Osmond are sold out, but many are still available for registration including events with Kish Dolls and Madame Alexander dolls. Plus, there is a charity benefit and auction, Once Upon a Dream, the 3rd Annual Charity to benefit the Children Affected AIDS foundation. There is even a Theriault's antique doll auction.
