Ken Is...Once Again...Getting a Makeover!

Poor Ken. Whenever Barbie has problems, Ken gets blamed. With sales of Barbie dolls down for each of the past eight fiscal quarters, Barbie has been in a bad mood lately. Indeed, last year she even broke up with long time boyfriend Ken and started going out with Blaine, an upstart vinyl hunk from Australia. Well, Ken isn't taking this sitting down--instead, Ken is taking this to the plastic surgeon. So to speak.

What I'm trying to say is that Mattel has announced that Ken will be getting a makeover, with his new look to be unveiled this Spring (in time for Toy Fair, most likely). Mattel is being tight lipped as to what Ken's new look will entail, but this is not the first time that Ken has been re-invented--just like Barbie, Ken has undergone many looks, styles and facial sculpts.
