Doll Costuming Magazine To Be Combined With Doll Crafter Magazine

Tuesday September 27, 2005
The past few years have been difficult times for many doll magazines--the doll collecting community has lost several titles, and other titles, such as Doll World, have merged with other magazines. Now, two more doll magazines are merging--this time, Doll Crafter magazine will combine with Doll Costuming magazine to create Doll Crafter & Costuming. Many dollmakers and doll seamstresses are disappointed by this news, but, as Jones Publishing has pointed out on their web site: "...unfortunately; advertisers who support printing costs have dwindled severely in recent years. The combination of these sister-publications is a positive alternative to folding Doll Costuming outright. This new, larger magazine will serve both the doll costuming and crafting fields". Look for the first combined issue of the magazine to be the February, 2006 issue.
