Red Carpet Alex Just Arrived!

Wednesday May 21, 2003
My very first Alex fashion doll just arrived in my store not 10 minutes ago!

I just had my mind on fashion dolls, since this morning I posted an article about Before You Buy Fashion Dolls and Alexandra Fairchild Ford from Madame Alexander is one of the dolls I discuss in that article.

OK, I LOVED her at Toy Fair, and I love her even more now that I've got her in my hot little hands! Red Carpet Alex is one of my favorite Alex dolls ever, and one of the dolls in a break-out year for Alex Fashion dolls that convinced me I had to collect Alex and carry Alex dolls in my store!

Even guys would love this doll--her clothing consists of a sexy gown with a a body-suit top, with, um, lets say strategically-placed beaded designs. The bottom is a wrap-around satin skirt which is up to there! Sexy and elegant at the same time--hard to do!

Pluses for Red Carpet Alex include that she's a very limited edition of only 750 dolls (with a certificate AND markings on the label to show that the one I opened is #560 of 750--some other prominent fashion doll manufacturers refuse to include certificates or numbering on their limited editions, and I HATE that, but that's a RANT for another day....) AND the aforementioned outfit.

Minuses include that the bodysuit had a run in it, and SO did both panty hose legs at the ankle where the doll was TIGHTLY tied to the box.

Ooh....I found another doll at the bottom of the shipping box...I think its a Cissette, so see you later!!
