The Marley Wentworth dolls have surprised collectors. Although they looked sweet in their catalog photos, it wasn't until the collectors got the dolls in hand that they fell in love with Marley Wentworth. I've also been surprised in my store by the reaction of older girls--they really love Marley! Marley is the perfect antidote to Bratz dolls and My Scene Barbie types of dolls,, and her fashions (which are reminiscent of the fine quality of vintage Barbie outfits) are fashionable without being trashy.Marley Wentworth is currently available as a basic doll, ready to dress in her pjs, with long, straight hair in three colors (blonde, redhead and brunette). Soon, she will also be available in several dressed editions, including Prep School Marley Wentworth dressed in her school uniform. outfits available separately include a cheerleading outfit, a party outfit, and a jeans, boots and poncho outfit. An Alice in Wonderland series of dolls based on Marley will be available this Fall.
At 12" tall, Marley fits perfectly in the hand just like...well...Barbie! Her little girl's body is perfectly proportioned, and collectors have truly enjoyed posing Marley with Tyler and friends in vignettes (sisters, mother/daughter, tea parties, combing hair, etc.) as well as posing Marley with childhood props such as small dolls and toys. Many collectors have enjoyed posting some of these dolls on the web.
