This is an early, strung Alexander-kins circa 1953. Alexander-kins that are this early and in this condition are becoming very hard to find. This particular doll came with her original box, and she wears a tagged, original outfit. The outfit consists of a red, plaid dress,a white felt coat with red buttons and matching white hat with two red poms, original fuzzy-bottomed single snap red shoes and organdy undies and panties with lace trim. She has her original Alexander-kins hang tag and her original Alexander-kins labeled box. The original stock number for this doll is 511, as labeled on the box.
Madame Alexander has been making a version of an 8" plastic doll since 1953--well over 50 years!
