Mumeka and Natiti From Australia in The 2005 Annette Himstedt Collection

Finally, there are the two Aborigine girls from Australia, Mumeka and Natiti. The dolls have some similarities, with their wild curly hair and size being quite close (both between 32 and 34 inches tall), each in an edition of 377 dolls and each doll with a suggested retail of $815.

Himstedt says about these dolls: "Mumeka and Natiti, the two little Aborigines, have learnt from their parents to experience the traditions and rituals of dreamtime. They are painting their bodies with a paste made of ground kaolin and sand-limestone. But because they're allowed to travel to the First "World's Children Summit," they simply painted their clothes with the white paint."
