Philadelphia Story Exhibit on Dolls From Philadelphia at the UFDC National Doll Convention
This is a special doll featured in the Philadelphia Story special exhibit at the convention. The Philadelphia Story focused on dolls which were made in the Philadelphia area. This wax lady doll was a special doll with a trousseau of elaborate, all-original outfits and a provenance which gave her entire history, in Philadelphia, since the late 1800s.Other dolls featured in the exhibit included Grenier papier mache dolls from the second half of the 1800s and Dolly Dingle dolls and paper dolls from the early 1900s.
