Wizard of Oz Dolls In The Fashion at Play, the Fashion Doll Artistry of Robert Tonner, a Special Exhibit at the Philadelphia UFDC Doll Convention
Most National Doll Conventions have two or three special exhibits of dolls, which generally rival exhibits at world-known museums. At the 2005 Philadelphia Convention, there were an amazing six exhibits in all--"The Philadelphia Story," "Bluette's 100th Birthday Celebration," "A Rhapsody in Black, Brown and Beige", "Wear in the World?," "The Enchanting World of Storybook Fashion," and "Fashion at Play, the Fashion Doll Artistry of Robert Tonner."The exhibits were exceptional this year; I especially liked "A Rhapsody in Black, Brown and Beige" featuring ethnic dolls, the pictured doll on the history and fashion of Robert Tonner's dolls, and "The Enchanting World of Storybook Fashion" which showed a large array of the dolls produced by the Nancy Ann Storybook doll company from California.
