The Antique Dolls competition is a unique chance for collectors of all types of dolls to see choice, rare antique dolls on display. Collectors can learn from the various antique doll categories--it is instructional to see so many dolls of a particular type, and what makes a ribbon-winning doll (generally, rarity and condition and originality play the largest roles in awarding ribbons).

Both the antique and modern doll competition rooms are set up on Monday, and they are open only to registered convention members on Tuesday evening, Wednesday and Thursday. Additionally, on Wednesday, highlight tours are given by judges which explain why certain dolls have won ribbons in their categories--the highlight tours are a must for anyone intending to enter dolls in competition.
