American Girl (Bendable Leg) Vintage Barbie c. 1965

American Girl Barbie dolls (also called Bendable Leg Barbie Dolls, since they were the first Barbie doll to have lets that bent at the knee) were produced only for two years, 1965 and 1966, before they were eclipsed by more mod dolls such as the Twist and Turn Barbie. Because of their short production span (in contrast, ponytail Barbie were produced for five years plus) American Girl Barbie dolls are highly sought after.
