Suite Retreat Barbie: Lingerie Barbies Now Sold In Their Pajamas
This series of basic Silkstone dolls used to be called the "Lingerie" series of Barbie dolls when the basic dolls were dressed in their appropriate lingerie (just like all other basic fashion dolls since the 1850s!) But, because a group of moms from the Moral Majority couldn't figure out the difference between play line Barbies dressed as faeries and princesses for 3 year olds and collectible Barbies for older girls and grown ups, we now have the basic lingerie Barbie dolls in, well, pajamas.
I preferred the dolls in their classic lingerie, but at least these are lovely silk pajamas. I'm not crazy about the eye makeup on many of the Silkstone Barbie dolls this year--I find it a bit heavy. overall, though, this is a nice, basic Silkstone Barbie with great, full hair. You should be able to find this doll in stores now!
