Therualt's, the doll auction company, held the first ever American auction of a major European doll and toy museum in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 19 to 21, 2006. The three day auction featured over 1,200 lots of fine antique dolls, dollhouses and toys, including spectacular dollhouses, rare china dolls and much more. Bidding at the auction for certain rare pieces was quite fierce, and sometimes representatives of two museums would go head to head to get a particular piece. Museums represented at the auction included The Kansas City Doll and Toy Museum, the North German Toy Museum in Soltau, Germany and Angel's Attic in Los Angeles. This photo gallery features images from the three days of this historic auction.
