WHAT
IS IDEX?
IDEX is a wholesale order writing show for dealers and retailers. Collectors may
attend on Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2002 and all day Sunday, January 27,
2002. This special collectors time allows them to view the latest
creations, meet the artists, get pieces from their own collections signed and
attend seminars as well as collectors’ club events.
WHY
ATTEND IDEX?
IDEX 2002 offers retailers, dealers and collectors the first look at all the new
collectible doll, bear and plush lines each year. This gives retailers and
dealers an early opportunity to buy, and allows passionate collectors a preview
of what’s new for 2002. Collectors can contact their favorite dealer to
order the new dolls and bears that have stolen their hearts.

Robert Tonner and Internationally syndicated comic strip creator, Lynn Johnston
for a talk about Lynn’s new book “All About April.” Lynn’s unique humor
and art bring an entertaining whimsy to her world as reflected in the comic
strip, “For Better Or For Worse”. Tonner will be unveiling the 2002
April Collection at IDEX. Attendees will receive a very special April

Good Bears of the World
Raffle & Auction

The
IDEX Good Bears of the World (GBW) Charity Auction gives teddy bear enthusiasts
an opportunity to add a special teddy to their collection, and support the
charity organization that places teddies into the arms of traumatized children
and the elderly. GBW supplies thousand of bears to police, EMS, firefighters and
other agencies that deal with children that need a reassuring hug and a special
friend. Thousands of teddy bears were given to New York shelters, the Pentagon
victims, and Pennsylvania families after the September 11th tragedy, by GBW.
All the money raised at the Second IDEX GBW auction will be used to support the
organization and to purchase teddy bears for the now-depleted GBW Bear Bank.
Artists from around the world have donated special items, many of which are
one-of-a-kind, for this worthy cause.
