CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: Sleep eyes, painted lashes. Doll may be transitional, as she is oddly strung--the legs are walker legs, but the head and arms are strung. Outfit includes panties that match dress.
PRICE: $1,200+ at online auctions.
COMMENTS: Black Ginnys are very rare and are highly desired by collectors, which is why the doll value is so high. The coloration is completely through the plastic and is NOT painted on. Very few black Ginnys were manufactured compared to the Caucasian Ginnys.
MARKET REPORT: Still rare and desirable, although usually now bringing less than the $2,000 that was common at the height of the Ginny market.
