CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: A lovely Barbie with closed mouth, silk taupe blouse, pleated organdy black skirt, black stockings with garters, black panties, straw hat and black pumps. Black long gloves and pearl necklace.
PRICE: On eBay and other online auction houses, from $45 to $65 NRFB.
COMMENTS: Doll is dressed in classic Christian Dior post-war fashion. Doll is one of the loveliest dolls produced in mid-1990s. There was an earlier Christian Dior doll produced using the Superstar open-mouth face mold; a blond doll.
MARKET REPORT: The Christain Dior #2 Barbie is a lovely doll that has failed to increase significantly in value, caught in the general downturn in prices on collectible Barbie dolls in 2002-2003.
