DATE OF PRODUCTION: 1999, limited to 2,500
DESCRIPTION: (from promotional booklet) Party Of The Season is an elegantly dressed Tyler wearing a fitted strapless gown of sage green and gray striped sil shot with gold and topped witha French lace overlay. Around her shouulders she wears a removable shrug of the same French lace with a dramatic ruffled collar and cuffs. A glittering pin that sparkles in unison with her rhinestone necklace and earrings accents the bust. On her feet she wears strappy gold evening shoes, and her auburn hair is styled in an elegant braided coif.
PRICE: Original Price approximately $160.00. Approximately $100 on eBay and other online auction sites.
COMMENTS: The overlay fabric is a bit of a disapointment, however the overall doll is lovely. Over time, I think that collectors will begin to seek out some of the early Tylers with the paler face coloring, since most later Tylers have much darker skin tones.
MARKET REPORT: The earlier Tyler Wentworth dolls have not increased much in value due to the great number of Tylers that continue to be produced each year. Party of the Season can generally be found for less than its original retail, altough it was one of the first dressed Tylers released.
