CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: This modern Barbie doll is NOT technically a reproduction, but is a doll with a retro-feel and the hair style is similar to a side-part American Girl from c. 1966. The outfit is also retro in feel. Doll comes with toy view master, magic 8-ball and "Barbie Queen Of The Prom" game. The mini toys work!
PRICE: Retail; $20 to $40 range on eBay NRFB.
COMMENTS: Doll is one of the first "Limited Edition" modern Barbies "limited" to 35,000 worldwide. Doll is sold-out on the dealer level as of 5/00.
MARKET REPORT: This modern Barbie doll, although extremely popular, has been caught squarely in the huge slump of prices for modern Barbie in 2003 with NRFB examples often selling in the $20 range--about 1/2 of original retail.
