DATE OF ISSUE: 1965
CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: Bendable legs, yellow lips, Waist does not turn. Several hair colors available, this variation is "pale blonde" as stated on the box.
PRICE: Doll alone, up to $400 mint. NRFB, up to $800.
COMMENTS: Dolls are often found with knees that do not "click" properly into the bendable position. Dolls look fantastic in the 1600s mid 1960s outfits! A favorite with collectors. Doll comes with turquoise shoes in box as well (not shown).
MARKET REPORT: American Girl Barbie dolls have lost some of their allure with collectors in the last few years, and excellent examples can now be found for under $300. However, expect to pay more for desirable hair colors, longer hair, and truly mint examples, and dolls with original boxes.
