PUNKIN HOLLER: Granny Bumpkin

This
is one of my my country cloth rag dolls, and there is a short story about a small town
called Punkin Holler where the doll lives.
About 5 years ago now my mom and I were talking and laughing about people that she use to know from childhood. I think that was the night we both put together the little story of Punkin Holler.
I have been designing cloth dolls patterns for years and making cloth rag dolls. The next day after my Mother and I wrote the short story, I made a granny cloth dolls to go with the story.
My mother is a tole painter and teacher, I asked her if she would paint a face on the 22" cloth doll. Granny Bumpkin was born that day so long ago now. We have made and sold many country cloth rag dolls since then, and have written many more stories about the little town of Punkin Holler where all dreams come true.
