COMMENTS: This doll was produced to compete with Barbie. She was never as popular as Barbie (despite wonderful quality clothing) and was discontinued after only a few years of production. Many mothers in the 1960s preferred Tammy to Barbie because of her more--ahem--realistic proportions.
