Meet Cheryl Conrad, in her own words: 

I have lived in Central New York most of my life..  I graduated from State University at Oswego with a B.A. in Secondary Ed. and Spanish.  I was lucky to be able to travel to Spain for 7 weeks during my college years.    After graduating I found myself in the administrative end of the profession and have enjoyed it very much (for 28 years).  I was able to use my language abilities as a bilingual secretary for 3 1/2 years before getting married.  Since then I have worked in Human Resources at 2 different schools. My husband and I have 1 daughter, Stephanie, who will be 20 yrs. old in July.  We will celebrate our 25th anniversary in June.  We have 3 dogs, Siberian Husky, German Shepard and a mix of German Shepard and sheltie (we think).  We rescued all of them from the SPCA (at different times).

We moved to South Carolina almost 2 years ago and, considering the weather in New York State this winter, it was a good move!  I enjoy antiquing, doll collecting (of course), counted cross stitch and sewing.  All of these interests were handed down to me from my mother.  I am very thankful for her and the interest she sparked in me. 

I have a renewed zest for life as it has been almost exactly one year ago that I underwent open heart surgery for a valve insufficiency and ended up having 3 major surgeries in a week and a half.  It was all worth it for the vitality that I had been lacking over the last several years was restored.  Needless to say, my husband, daughter and I don't take each other for granted and cherish each day we have together.
