New Doll Books Released!: The following new doll books have been spotted at Barbnes and Noble bookstores, and are also available online:

--Madame Alexander Dolls, 3rd Edition, by A. Glen Mandeville (greatly expanded in new, larger format).

--The Barbie Closet, by Patricia Long. Covers fashions and accessories from 1959 to 1970; useful because it prices each PART of vintage outfits, such as purses, shoes and hats.

-Collector's Guide to -Dolls of the 60s and 70s by Cindy Sabulis. FINALLY a book that covers 70s dolls in some depth! From the amount of questions I get on these dolls, this book will be well received!

New Barbie Releases Spotted In Stores; Dolls That Are Getting Scarce: Including Bowling Barbie, Kelly and Tommy Munchkins, Cool Collecting Barbie, Fabulous Forties Barbie, and Victorian Barbie. 40th Anniversary Barbie and Commuter Set Barbie are getting hard to find at local stores, and TRU still has Symphony in Chiffon Barbie on sale for under $70, and Audrey Hepburn in Pink on sale for $20 in many locations.

Barbie Spectacular on HSN Wednesday at 5pm eastern: See many of this years new Barbie releases on HSN; but DO watch the prices--some are bargains, other HSN dolls can be expensive. The Pink Audrey Hepburn doll listed above for $20 at TRU costs $70 at the HSN web site, and they are asking $72 for the 40th Anniversary Barbie which can be still found for under $50 at some TRU and K Marts.
