Guide Review - Basic Tiny Kitty Collier Fashion Doll
At $39.99, Tiny Kitty Collier may be the least expensive Basic non-Barbie fashion doll currently available, but the Tonner Doll Company has not scrimped on quality. Tiny Kitty (and her wardrobe) are incredibly detailed, especially given her tiny size (only 10" tall!) and reasonable price. I was immediately enchanted by Tiny Kitty at Toy Fair in 2003, and you will be, too--both Barbie collectors and large fashion doll collectors seem to fall under Tiny Kitty's spell when she is put into their hand.Tiny Kitty comes in three versions--Blonde, Brunette and Redhead. Each doll comes in a basic chemise, ready for you to dress. Dressing Tiny Kitty is a delight--her wardrobe is in perfect scale. However, you don't need to buy only the limited edition outfits made for Tiny Kitty. If, like many fashion doll collectors, you have a bag of Barbie clothing odds and ends--perhaps some vintage Barbie pieces, maybe some Fashion Avenue or some Silkstone clothing--then you're all set. Many pieces of Barbie doll clothing will fit Kitty, and its great fun to try on Barbie clothing to create new looks, or, if you like to sew, adjust Barbie patterns just a tad to fit Tiny Kitty.
We highly recommend Tiny Kitty as a first non-Barbie fashion doll for Barbie collectors, or as a foray into the world of "little" for large fashion doll collectors.
