Madame Alexander Dolls Will Be In McDonald's Happy Meals Starting August 20th!

By August 5, 2010

Follow me on:

I just found out that the very popular tiny Madame Alexander dolls will again be in McDonald's Happy Meals starting August 20th! The meals will introduce eight new tiny Madame AlexanderŽ dolls featuring "Storybook Couples." The pairs are Cinderella and Prince Charming, Little Red Riding Hood and Wendy as The Big Bad Wolf, Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter, and Hansel and Gretel. Although aimed at children, I know many adult collectors collect these tiny dolls to complement their larger Madame Alexander dolls. The tiny dolls feature sleep eyes, and joints at the arms, legs and heads, plus tiny cloth costumes. Madame Alexander Dolls have been in Happy Meals since 2002. Prior sets of dolls have had themes such as the Wizard of Oz and other Storybook and contemporary characters.

I have about 20 Nancy Anne Storybook dolls from the 30′s and 40′s that are bisque and in good shape with the boxes. I would like to sell these, would it be better to sell them on ebay or at a doll auction or another way? I would like to get the best price. How can I find out the value? I appreciate your comments and help.

hello there!

i have an older madame alexander doll that is two feet tall, blinking blue eyes, and a head that moves when you maneuver her arms or legs.

i haven’t been able to find any madame alexander dolls that size on any of the web sites. so i don’t really know where to start looking to figure out her approximate ‘value’.

would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction please?

thank you in advance for your consideration,

patricia

Try putting one up with a high reserve, see how much it gets, then change the reserve
