Ladies of the '80s Collection Will Be Released By Mattel This Winter

Thursday August 6, 2009
Mattel has announced that they will be releasing a Ladies of the '80s doll collection this December. Although photos and prices have not yet been released, the three 1980s music icons that are expected to be in the series are Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jett and Deborah Harry of Blondie fame. The dolls will be in Barbie-size, although, like Lucille Ball and other celebrity series done by Mattel, I'm expecting that they will not be "Barbie" dolls with Barbie heads, but instead will have celebrity sculpts for the head molds.
