Barbie Victorious - Mattel Wins Lawsuit Against MGA

Barbie has won an important federal copyright infringement case against Bratz that may have far reaching implications for fashion doll collectors and the entire fashion doll industry. According to The New York Times, the jury ruled yesterday that Mattel owns the original drawings of Bratz made by Carter Bryant. The jury found that Mr. Bryant had created their characters and the name while he was under contract as a Barbie designer at Mattel.
