Wistful Children By Nancy Latham - Cloth Dolls With an An Art Collage Feel

On my second day at IDEX, I always like to focus on doll artists and dolls that I am not familiar with. One artist's dolls that caught my eye today were the Wistful Children by Nancy Latham. These dolls "read" to me like a beautiful art collage--they are a mix of silk screening, interesting images and tactile fabrics. The dolls are mostly one of a kind (with a few small editions such as the Alice and Queen series pictured here) and retail starts at approximately $599.
