Cabbage Patch Kids Grow Up!
Saturday February 10, 2007
Although Toy Fair officially opens tomorrow, today I visited various manufacturer show rooms and saw previews of some exciting dolls. Play Along Toys, a division of Jakks Pacific, has a growing line of dolls - some based on classic toys and others based on popular culture icons. This year, their Cabbage Patch Kids get an update! The Kids are growing up--they wear big kids underwear instead of diapers, and they even have eyelashes and earrings! Don't worry - Cabbage Patch Babies and Newborns will still be available. The grown up kids will have a suggested retail of $24.99.

I have read posts about the new grown up CPK kids in all the CPK collector groups and most are not happy with the look of the new lash kids. The lashes are too large, fake looking. They could have painted lashes like the Toys R us kids had or used inset with glass like eyes, as was used in a xmas Target edition a few years ago. These new kids look to fake.
I love my cabbage patch kids; They are one of a kind, and that new look is so nice, eyelashes are the most new advanced for this kids. i just loved it, I have one for me. congratulations at the inventor. I hope in future can surprise us!!!!
