Love. Angel. Music. Baby: Gwen Stefani Dolls New For This Fall

Wednesday September 6, 2006
Celebrity dolls have always been popular. They generally sell well thanks to their celebrity connection—it gives dolls built-in face recognition and a built-in market. Some celebrity dolls like Shirley Temple are wildly popular. Some, like the Pussycat Dolls, never get of the ground. Now, Gwen Stefani jumps into the celebrity doll fray with her own dolls, the Love. Angel. Music. Baby. dolls. These dolls will reflect Ms. Stefani’s personality and onstage incarnations, including Hollaback Girl and the Harajuku Girls of Tokyo, although the dolls are not affiliated with Ms. Stefani's L.A.M.B.clothing line. “I thought the dolls would be a good opportunity to capture some of the key looks from the album and the tour” stated Stefani. The Harajuku Girls and I wore such wicked costumes we had to share them with the world again.

The Love. Angel. Music. Baby dolls will be manufactured by new company Huckleberry Toys, and will be available through retailers including Target.com, Hot Topic, and Claire's this Fall. Suggested retail is $24.99, and each doll will come with Gwen collectibles like posters, pocket mirrors, trading cards and other accessories.
