Last week's IDEX doll show in Las Vegas was all about modern dolls. This week's United Federation of Doll Clubs national convention in Dallas is about dolls of all types, from the oldest antiques to the newest of modern dolls. Today, pre-convention activities began with the National Doll Festival doll show, the Frashers auction and a reception at the home of Gail Cook, a well-known local collector who shared her incomparable antique doll collection with collectors at a Theriault's reception. Many UFDC members will have the opportunity to see her dolls this week, through tours at her home and also in the competition room of the convention. Pictured to the left are a group of rare Poulbots at her home.
