Bratz Genie Magic DVD and CD To Be Released Next Week

On April 11, 2006, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release the newest Bratz DVD, "Bratz Genie Magic." Simultaneously, a Bratz Genie Magic CD will be released, recorded by the group "Hip-O/UMe".

This is the second Bratz DVD--the first was "Bratz Rock Angelz,” released last summer also with a CD. Direct to DVD (and TV) movies have been a big trend in the past few years, with movies featuring American Girl dolls and also Barbie dolls doing very well.

Besides music from the Genie Magic movie, the album will also feature songs from the Bratz TV series, including the catchy TV show theme song. The Rock Angelz CD actually debuted #1 on the Kid Audio chart and even made the general pop music Top 100. The songs on Genie Magic were written by Matthew Gerrard, a well-known song writer who has written songs on the #1 "High School Musical" soundtrack album and also “Breakaway” for Kelly Clarkson
