It's OK...You Can Write On Your Doll

Tuesday February 14, 2006
Now, please don't take this as a license to write on your vintage Barbie or your antique German bisque doll! But, if you or your child has ever wanted to decorate your doll with some personalized art (and, from the large number of old vinyl dolls that have marks from permanent markers somewhere on their bodies, this seems like a universal impulse) then I've found the perfect doll for you at Toy Fair! The doll is called the Party Mix Doodle Girl Doll and she is by Play Along Toys, the makers of the popular Doodle Bear.

The doll comes with special "Color Mix" markers which enables the doll to easily change designs and colors. Plus, the soft cloth doll is washable, and can be re-decorated again and again. The doll will be available for a suggested retail of $14.99,

I came to Toy Fair hoping to find some dolls that had a crafting/interactive mix without being electronic, and I think the Doodle Girl Doll is just perfect for that. Plus, she plays into the popular culture fascination with body art! See what my entire pre-Toy Fair wish list is in Top 10 Things I'd Like To See For Toy Fair 2006.
