International Teddy Bear Relief Fund (ITBRF) Raises $63,000 For Tsunami Relief
Wednesday August 31, 2005
The International Teddy Bear Relief Fund (ITBRF) Auction at the Doll and Teddy Bear Expo raised over $63,000 for Tsunami relief, according to representatives from DOLLS magazine. The highlight of the auction was a piece by doll artist R. John Wright, HUGS Around the World, which sold for $25,000. The generosity of the Doll collecting community never fails to amaze me, and I am sure that this generosity will be applied to the Hurricane Katrina tragedy unfolding in Louisiana and Mississippi. I will pass along any aid or relief efforts organized by the doll community as I hear of them.
