eBay Seller Fees Go Way Up

Thursday January 13, 2005
eBay announced today that effective February 18, 2005, many of their seller fees for auctions are going to go up substantially. Increases in fees will include Gallery, Buy It Now, 10-Day Duration and Store Fees.

The fee hikes are significant, and only time will tell if they will add to the price of most dolls sold on eBay. For instance, Gallery fees are going from $.25 to $.35, Buy It Now Fees will no longer be a flat $.10 but will range from $.05 (only for items up to $9.99) to $.25 (for items over $50, which is a 250% increase). 10-Day auctions now cost double (from $.20 to $.40).

eBay Store fees have gone up across the board, with the monthly fee going from $9.95 to $14.95 per month, and some final value fees now being a whopping 8%! For all the details, see eBay's General Announcement Board
