Madame Alexander Back To Basics Alex Arrives

Monday October 13, 2003
Another new arrival in many doll stores in the last week are the ultra-articulated Back To Basics Madame Alexander dolls. These dolls have 18 points of articulation--you can even curl their toes!

I generally love the articulation and the posing possibilities with this doll. My only disappointment is with the knee jointing--the jointing does not allow for the knee to bend far enough, so that sitting the doll does not look as good as it might otherwise.

Besides the fun articulation, the dolls feature two-tone full, long hair (in blonde, brunette or redhead) and a very Riviera-look "little black dress" with wide-brim black straw hat, sunglasses, and a purse with a real zipper!
