Theriault's San Francisco Auction and Upcoming "Long Walk Home" Auction

Wednesday October 8, 2003
I just spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Theriault's Duet doll auction in San Francisco. I had a wonderful time in spite of an awful cold--take it from me, never bid at an auction when you are under the heavy influence of cold medication. I certainly unwrapped some interesting and unique dolls when I got home!

In any event, Theriault's is having the two-day "Long Walk Home auction in only a few weeks. The promotional information for this auction has been very enticing--for instance, I'm intrigued by the two very rare dolls pictured to the left. Old wood dolls with feet on a wheel-like mechanism--the first walking doll perhaps?

For more information on the auction, read my article, "Theriault's Announces Largest Single-Catalog Auction In Its History" or you can visit the Theriault's web site.
